Volunteer: Haunted Hayride Event Volunteers 2025

Hello Haunted Hayride Volunteers! We are so excited to have you join us for this year’s event. Below are important details to help make this event a success. Please take the time to read this and let me know if you have any questions. When you sign up for your volunteer “shift” you will be prompted to fill out a volunteer waiver (unless you already have one on file digitally).

There are many volunteer roles at Haunted Hayride. Please feel free to email me (emilys@biparks.org) if you would like to do something specific. I am also happy to assign you a role and provide instructions upon your arrival. Some examples of roles include: parking assistance, check-in booth, game lead, craft lead, ghost host, ride greeter, runner.

Event Dates:  Tuesday Oct 21 – Thursday Oct 23

Arrival: Volunteers need to arrive no later than 5:00p and stay until 9:30p on event days. We will provide dinner each night at the main “Boo Boulevard” check-in area at 5:00p. Upon arriving each night you will need to sign-in at the check-in tent (west entrance of BP near artificial turf field).

Parking and Drop Off/Pick-up Location: Parking is located in the lot next to the artificial turf fields. You will not be able to leave this lot from 5:30-9:30p, while the event is in progress. If you are being dropped off or picked up during the hours of the event, please hop out of the car at the west entrance of Battle Point Park off of Battle Point Drive and do not drive into the park.

What to bring: Please dress warmly and for the conditions. This is a fully outdoor event, so please be prepared in case of rain (raincoat, waterproof shoes, etc.) and for being outdoors for several hours in the evening. Layering is key!

Costumes: Costumes are highly encouraged! Please note that this is a family friendly event, costumes that might scare children are not allowed, nor are any that depict drugs, alcohol or violence.

Contact Information: If you have a problem the day of the event or are running late, please call or text Event Lead Emily Swift at 206-887-8429.

THANK YOU for volunteering at Haunted Hayride! There is no way we could do this without your help!
