Description

Be a part of the global City Nature Challenge event in Manzanita Park and Manzanita Ridge Preserve. Alongside Bainbridge Island Land Trust, we will "bioblitz" or participate in a citizen science monitoring event using iNaturalist in areas along the Manzanita Watershed. This is one of several bioblitz events in Kitsap County between April 24-27 to observe and record natural organisms to help better understand the biodiversity of our area.

Why Manzanita Watershed? The Manzanita Watershed is our priority restoration area as it supports the local and greater Puget Sound ecosystem by providing critical habitat for wildlife and a healthy groundwater supply for all. Protecting and caring for this watershed, connected through Manzanita Ridge Preserve and Manzanita Park, ensures a healthy environment for conservationists and recreationists alike!
