Work with the Park District's horticulture staff this fall to put the gardens to bed, and care for an historic fruit orchard, edible perennials and other historic plantings in this former homestead in the heart of downtown. These work parties are well suited for children six and up who are comfortable using some small hand tools. Please note that there is no parking available at this site. Please park in Winslow and walk to the park. Staff will provide personal protective equipment and tools for the job, plus water to refill your water bottles.
